About the TEAM
DEEPLEXITY is the solo project of Russia-based producer/songwriter Arkadiy Shtykov. He focuses on strong melody, clear structure and modern sound design, handling the full chain from writing to mixing. For the AI Song Contest 2025, DEEPLEXITY submits TEDESCA—a hook-driven track built on a human-written topline and harmony with a clean, licensed royalty-free vocal. The aim is direct emotion, concise form and a mix that translates on headphones and small speakers.
About the SONG
TEDESCA is a hook-driven pop track built around a nocturnal pulse and a two-phrase chorus. The topline and chords were written by hand; arrangement stays minimal so the lead breathes and the chorus lifts cleanly. A royalty-free vocal, legally licensed for this project, carries the melody; timing and phrasing were edited to sit naturally on the beat. The palette is focused—piano figure, soft pads, tight bass and drums—so the hook remains the center. No artist likenesses were cloned and no external stems from other songs were used. The goal is a direct, memorable song that translates well on headphones and small speakers and can be performed live with a compact stem setup.
About the HUMAN-AI PROCESS
Writing: I drafted the chord progression and bass at the keyboard, then wrote the full topline and the chorus hook. The structure (intro–verse–pre–chorus–chorus–bridge–outro) and dynamics were refined by ear to keep the energy clear and the form compact. The arrangement stays minimal so the lead can breathe and the chorus lifts cleanly.
Vocal: the lead is generated with an AI Licensed Vocal — a commercial, legally licensed singing-voice model. Its dataset is a professionally recorded session supplied by the vendor together with the vocalist; it is royalty-free, non-exclusive, and cleared for public release and contest use. I rendered the part phrase by phrase and manually edited timing, breaths and vowel color to match the written melody. No third-party artist likenesses were imitated.
Production: drums were programmed by hand; bass and keys were played and lightly quantized. Edits focused on keeping space for the lead, sharpening transitions, and making the chorus hook land consistently. Iteration included quick checks on headphones/earbuds and small placement tweaks.
Mix: balance, EQ, compression and ambience were set by ear to preserve headroom and keep the vocal forward without masking the hook.
No generative text-to-music systems were used. The only AI component is the licensed singing-voice synthesis for the lead; all musical content (melody, harmony, rhythm, structure and production choices) is human-made. The process is transparent, reproducible and compliant. No Suno/Udio.
