About the TEAM
I make Experimental/Ambient Electronic Music as a solo project. I also work with other artists on collaborative Darkwave tracks and remixes. My music is influenced by my upbringing in Germany, and deep immersion in the world of Technology and Artificial Intelligence.
About the SONG
The "vocals" on this track were created via the use of the Artificial Intelligence holly.plus and are thus completely synthetic - as is the rest of this composition.
About the HUMAN-AI PROCESS
I wanted to create a composition that was completely artificial, yet had a lot of organic warmth to it. So I used sounds created by a simulation of an analog synthesizer as the source material to drive a neural network that was trained on the voice of the musician Holly Herndon (using a tool called holly.plus). This transformed these synthesizer sounds into choral-like vocals, injecting warmth and humanity into this composition, even though nothing about it is "real" (i.e. made by humans). In addition, I made a video that features closeup shots of a human being to iterate on the artificially human aspects of this work.
